Congratulations to the Table tennis team of Girls’ Grade A on winning 4th place.
The Table tennis team of Girls’ Grade A joined the HKSSF Tai Po and North District Secondary Schools Area Committee Inter-School Table Tennis Competition. The final was held at the Luen Wo Hui Sports Centre on 4th October 2026. Our team members are 4A Li Sze Tung Michelle, 6C Law Lap Yan, 6C Pang Sum Yi and 6D Zhang Xiao Yu. Congratulations on their achievement!
The IEEE AICAS 2026 Grand Challenge (8th IEEE International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Circuits and Systems Grand Challenge) is a premier global competition focused on pushing the boundaries of AI chip architecture, hardware-software co-design, and embedded systems. The challenge requires teams to deploy complex AI workloads efficiently within strict hardware constraints.
Competing against top talents from around the world, Yeung Yeung from Class 5C demonstrated outstanding technical execution and high-performance system design. By developing a systematic optimization framework—specifically targeting Vision-Language Models (VLMs) like Qwen3-VL-2B-Instruct—the team overcame the kernel launch bottleneck using operator fusion and CUDA Graphs. Their innovative approach achieved an incredible 11× speedup over the competition's baseline, enabling real-time processing capabilities of about 300 words per second without batch processing.
For these remarkable accomplishments, Yeung Yeung successfully took home the global First Runner-Up award, with their research work also accepted for publication as a conference paper titled "Overcoming the Kernel Launch Bottleneck: 11× Faster VLM Inference with Operator Fusion and CUDA Graphs."
Yeung Yeung from Class 5C has demonstrated outstanding technical strength and innovative thinking in the fields of information technology and big data. In the 2026 Baidu Commercial AI Technology Innovation Competition, Yeung Yeung stood out among numerous participants with an exceptional AI application and solution, earning the Excellence Award. Designed to foster the implementation and commercial innovation of industrial-level artificial intelligence technologies, this competition and Yeung Yeung's achievement serve as another testament to his great potential and excellence in the field of AI.
Empowering Young Innovators: Our Students Win Gold and Silver at The 8th Greater Bay Area Digital Education STEAM Excellence Award
Students from the Research and Development Team under our school's STEM Education recently participated in the "The 8th Greater Bay Area Digital Education STEAM Excellence Award 2026 (HKSAR)", organized by The Hong Kong New Emerging Technology Education Association. Demonstrating solid scientific knowledge and creative visual expression, our students stood out among numerous contestants to sweep the gold and silver awards in the Senior Secondary "Science Video" category!
