Students Win Championship with Innovative "Anti-Slip Market Floor" STEM Design

Congratulations to four Form 5 students (5B CHAN PAN YUET SHERON, 5C LEUNG HUI LAM, 5E LOO TSZ CHING, and 5E SEE PUI SEN) for standing out in the finals of the "Impact Booster" Competition, co-organized by the Chinachem Group and the Social Enterprise Summit. With their "Anti-Slip Market Floor" proposal, they first took the Best Idea in Creating Better Public Spaces for the Community and advanced to the finals.

Then, the student team from our school brought a 1:1 scale physical prototype of their "Anti-Slip Market Floor" to the Chinachem Group headquarters and presented their scientific research results. Their presentation was highly praised by the judges and guests, earning them the overall championship of the competition!

This competition showcased the teamwork and collaboration between STEM teachers and students. Mr. Chan Lok Hang, Teaching Assistant Fox, Mr. Yeung Wai Leung, along with other DTU students, all assisted the student team in completing their innovative idea.

Lastly, we commend the persistence and efforts of the four Form 5 students. The path of scientific research is never smooth, but it was their perseverance that moved the expert mentors, teachers, and fellow students to walk this journey together.
