On September 27, eight members of our school’s Coral Team attended the opening ceremony of the “ECF The In-School Coral Nursery Education Programme 2025-2026” at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. During the ceremony, the students gained a deeper understanding of the program’s objectives and its expansion plans. They had the privilege of listening to Dr. Apple Chui, a research assistant professor from the School of Life Sciences at CUHK, who explained local coral ecology and how her research team is working to restore coral communities. The students learned about the current threats facing coral communities in Hong Kong, which raised their civic awareness and motivated them to protect our valuable marine environment.
