Rooted in the TWGHs philosophy of "Whole-Person Education" and dedicated to nurturing global citizens with deep national pride, our student representatives AN Zhiyi Elizabeth (Class 5B) and TSE Chin Yau (Class 5C)were appointed as TWGHs Student Ambassadors. From October 9 to 17, 2026, they embarked on an intensive nine-day study and cultural tour in Vancouver, Canada, led by Mr. Tseng Hing Yip, Chairman and Honorary Supervisor of TWGHs, alongside members of the Board of Directors.
Throughout this fruitful nine-day journey, our students engaged in profound dialogues spanning diplomacy, global finance, and community heritage:
- Diplomatic and Official Engagements: The delegation was honoured with an audience with Consul General Fu Fengshan at the Consulate-General of the PRC in Vancouver, who warmly encouraged the students to act as young cultural ambassadors. They also received a warm reception from Ms. Joyce Lau, Principal Hong Kong Economic and Trade Affairs Commissioner (Western Canada) of the HKETO in Toronto, offering valuable insights into bilateral cooperation.
- Exploring Heritage and Economic Horizons: Through in-depth visits to the Vancouver Branch of Bank of China (Canada), local Chinese community schools, and historical Chinese benevolent halls, our students gained a profound appreciation of overseas Chinese heritage and perseverance.
This immersive journey successfully fostered their international perspectives and reinforced their national identity, showcasing the exemplary qualities of TWGHs Student Ambassadors as forward-thinking global citizens.
